Thursday night! Let’s get ready for Thursday Night! Yeah! I’m feeling good right now as you can tell. NBA season starting soon, Red Sox in the World Series (up 1-0 in the series), and I finished 9-6 (yikes) in picks last week. Some interesting games last week, some upsets with the Colts shocking almost everyone in beating the Broncos. Patriots lost on a call that most people didn’t know until now. My pick of the Bills beating the Dolphins made me look good. With that being said I’m definitely feeling good right now. Day off today from work with almost a month away from Black Friday (yep I’m excited).
Will Greg Schiano walk the plank after tonight’s game? Will the Jaguars ever get a win? Will the Raiders or the Steelers win their third game this season and rekindle their 70’s rivalry? Will Tom go on a second date with Zooey Deschanel this week? All these questions and more in this weeks picks!
Carolina @ Tampa Bay: Panthers. This one is pretty easy to decipher, the Panthers are playing good football at this point of the season, while the Buccaneers are a sinking ship. Undefeated streak continues on Thursday nights!
Green Bay @ Minnesota: Packers. Another pretty easy one at this point. The first game with Greg Jennings as a Viking versus his former captain, Aaron Rodgers, I’m sure tempers will flare with this one. Game is on NBC and I’ll still take the Packers.
Dallas @ Detroit: Lions. Despite the loss to the Bengals last week, the Lions seem like a good pick in this one, even though Tony Romo has been playing good football. It could go either way, but I’ll stick with the Detroit Kitties.
San Francisco @ Jacksonville: 49ers. Does anyone feel good about picking the Jaguars in this one? You’re probably nuts in taking the Jags in this one. Niners win it.
Cleveland @ Kansas City: Chiefs. This Chiefs team I haven’t really gotten time to watch them but despite this sad fact, I like their chances to continue to stay unbeaten against a Browns team that had something going for them this season.
Miami @ New England: Patriots. Red Sox playing inspiring well and the Patriots will find themselves taking some of the good vibe from them and win against the Dolphins in this one. Yes the Patriots got hosed, yes it was a good and bad call, and yes I’m sort of a Boston homer, the Packers still own my heart.
Buffalo @ New Orleans: Saints. Buffalo Bills getting a chance to win at the SuperDome which is a very loud building when the Saints are playing good. Bills got no chance. By the way, the second date never happened, Zooey broke my heart, sadly I had to work when New Girl was on TV. I do have to think of something to regain my hold on her.
New York Giants @ Philadelphia: Giants. The G-men finally got their first win on Monday, the Eagles feel like a train wreck at quarterback, and I hope the Gints continue to salvage their season.
New York Jets @ Cincinnati: Bengals. The Bengals got a good win on the road against the Lions and I’m not sure the Jets got the power to beat the Bengirls in the Jungle.
Pittsburgh @ Oakland: Steelers. The Steelers are 2-4 on the season at this point. To beat the Super Bowl champs, which is in turn your rival, at home has to give you something good to think about. Raiders could win, but the talent aspect goes to the Steelers.
Atlanta @ Arizona: Falcons. Oddly enough, Vegas is giving the Cardinals the edge in this one (no pun intended). This game feels queasy to me, the Falcons should be the favorites despite their record but this game reminds me of my alma mater’s cafeteria food (mostly bad).
Washington @ Denver: Broncos. I’m sure you’re asking “Why the Broncos, Tom? You always pick the Broncos even though they lost to the Colts last week.” Sure I do pick the Broncos, maybe I’m playing the safe card but maybe I’m playing the “I’m not an idiot” card.
Seattle @ St. Louis: Seahawks. Well this game might actually be watchable unlike the Giants-Vikings game. Rams look like a dumpster fire now that Sam Bradford is out, the Seabirds drop a deuce on the Rams.
